They're not bad per say, but they take at least a month every time. I understand they have to order parts and they have a bunch of trolling motors all but that seems a little long IMO. Cant comment on pricing because it has all been warranty work.

Thanks for all the replies. I will def be getting one. Now I have to decide which one is best. I have read a lot of mixed reviews on the ulterra.

The only draw back to my xi5 is no LED screen on the remote but that doesn't bother me that much. It's more of a convenience thing to me.
I'm just a motor guide guy so that's the way I went

MG and MK are both good, I've had both. I went MK because it's more weedless at lower speeds than the MG, but that's going to be an issue for you it sounds like. The spot lock was not as good on the early MK, but they have upgraded it significantly.

Word of advice, buy the extra remote AND keep at least 2 extra remote batteries in your boat.

If you go Minn Kota make sure you get the newest version. It has much better GPS technology.

FWIW I have the new terrova and have not had any problems, nor have I read about any. I have the link because I have a Humminbird Helix. It has completely changed the way I fish, worth the cost and then some. Just get one, you will not regret it.
