I don't mind driving a couple hours from Abita to buy wholesale. I need everything but grass. Plants, shrubs, trees, fruit trees,

Rent you a Uhaul so the plants will be protected and head to Forest Hills

Definitely forest hill. The plants are about half price of local nurseries. I saved a shitload on the landscaping for my house.

Anyone have a particular nursery? Online I'm seeing Doug Young, Clyde Holloway...those ring a bell or something else?

They tend to specialize but most will have the more common plants. I like Richard's. Very nice, professional.

You can check out Westfarms nursery north of Folsom for shrubs/perrenials and Pretty Trees south of Folsom for trees and large shrubs if you are looking locally. You have to be a licensed landscape contractor to access Bracys or Windmill. You may find a smaller nursery willing to sell to a homeowner here LINK /. Good luck
