I need to get one. I'm normally in places boats can't go but one of my spots has boat traffic and could be a bit dangerous.

Do it Bro, I ran up on 3 in succession in the main waterway from our area to the swamp, with 4 boats behind me. It was dark, the ones behind me shut down because they saw my lights, just saying.
Love seeing y'all out there, just worry some until it's the norm.

I guess I'm one of the safer kayakers. When I have to cross a main bayou, I make sure no boats are coming and I boogie across.

This is a man made run with no outshoots for a mile or so. I've told friends to drag their yaks over the levee and save a 2 mile paddle, non are willing so far, If something bad or close to bad happens things will change.
Tight lines as they say.

You talking about dragging over the levee into Lapeyrouse Canal instead of paddling the length of the rocks?

Haha. Our camp is about a quarter mile south of Cecil's. That's a hell of a paddle. You won't catch me on that side of the levee unless it's by mothership.

Quit yelling when we run the Bayou then!
Take care,
