leave besson, to the left where that first canal is where the houseboat is docked is all leased. when you hit bayou blue, to the left is the property that belongs to some blanchards I think, behind that is a duck lease too then that buts up to the WMA.

"Pretty much" tells me there is somewhere I can fish without trespassing. Hence the need for a map. The regular fisherman doesn't know where he can or can't go.

well where do you want to go?

I fish the Cocodrie/Chauvin area and I have no idea what is private and what is public.

Leeville and Hwy 1 area desperately needs a map. We tried to ask LDWF one morning when we were launching and all he could say about the wildlife reserve was that the line "zigzags from about there to about there."

in leeville, im familiar with the east side even though our property is to the west. you need a pass to go on the east side unless you go directly across from bobby lynns.

DNR website has maps but you have to download their software to view them. SONRIS maps are current as of earlier this year. Go to the parish website and there will be contact information to get what you need. They have to give you something, otherwise it's like posting a speed limit but not telling you how fast you can go.

If sheriff departments starting writing people tickets all hell would break loose. It would be a terrible idea and they know it.

Depends on who you're asking. I won't pole up on someones duck blind or cross a gate but other than that I don't really give a shite.

A lot of land owners will tell you that they own what DNR says is state claimed water bottom.

Sadly no one knows for sure.

Lafourche parish sherrif or harbor patrol? i'm not sure which has jurisdiction there. I know some got written to people who kept jumping that fence to go fish by the tower last year sometime.
