It's American made, if I am not mistaken. I am positive our OB brethren will correct me if I am incorrect.

Correct Ras47 is American made. I ordered one of palmetto state new ak. Checked at just the right time. From what I read about the wasr is you want to buy those in person. Some can have some issues such as canted sights and the mag well was opened a little too much

Appreciate the insight brother. I've had this one for almost two years and its been a great gun so far. Cheap to shoot, doesn't complain about different ammo, and a decent looking rifle. It's a great club gun to dick around with for sure.

ETA: Nice post count. I was a lurker long before I was a semi regular poster.

Lol yeah. Figured it was time to put my big boy pants on and actually contribute instead of lurk all the time. Also I'll post some pics of ak when it comes in. They seem to be fairly hyped. Sold out in about 1.5 hours

Sooooo, the ras47 is not a wasr or n-pap, but its own category?

Correct. Aside from these new all us made ad's they are all built from foreign parts kits. Wasr is romainian and npap is Yugo I believe.

I don't know..I got the c39v2. I just read some having issues with the ras that the c39 may not have. I got that and a wasr10. I got 10 from preppers but it was 650 then. They check them out and fi anything if it needs is what they told me. Mine was fine.

My c39 after fitting the magpul stuff into it. I sent them off to be dyed some orange brown wood looking color.

Wasr all the way right next to the c39 before the change. I got 2 wasrs and the stock colors were different. That's about it.

Alright awesome thanks. That century with the magpul furniture looks awesome. That will definitely be the route I go.

I guess for now I will skip out on the ras47 and go with a wasr. The magpul furniture should still fit the wasr correct?

It might fit better. It's made for stamped AKs but with trimming will fit the milled. I'm not 100% because I have not tried it but I think so. The ras47 is a nice looking gun it's just it seems there's a stamped spot that's a weak link after high rounds.

ya, iv been reading mixed reviews on them. Will mine ever see 5000 rounds? Probably so, but that may be in 3 years, maybe sooner, maybe later. Would like something that I could own a life time (even though I'll be owning more than one ak).

Could someone point me in the direction of a wasr?

Debating if I should just give the ras47 a try, its a whole 539 bucks....it has a 1 year warrenty, and I dont plan on running it over with a car lol
