Where can a baw find a decent price on a lever action .270?

If you are going to get a lever action .270, I'd suggest just going all out and getting a BLR.

Yep. That's what my two boys shoot so for bulk ammo purchases and what not just would make it more convenient.

I hunt with a .444 or 7 mag, neither of which is an inexpensive round.
