What is your aiming point? Do you aim low?

Depends on where the deer is looking, height of tree stand, and distance of shot.

Sometimes they duck the shot. Never a bad idea to aim a tiny bit low.

Plus wind, temperature, and altitude.

My bow is slow and loud, so I aim low

I aim so that the exit is right above the opposite elbow. The biggest mistake most people make in archery is thinking entrance rather than exit when aiming.

Unlike most whitetail hunters, I key in on a minoote spot towards the mid angle backstrap. This is usually only when I am ground hunting. If I am in a tree I like to aim small miss small towards the upper rear of the angled backstrap

Every shot I've ever missed was high. Took me a while to figure it out but now I always aim a bit low (from a tree). Percentage is going up now.

Aim low if they're crawling

Depends on how high you are, and how close they are.
