If I was a single man I'd have this and a kayak
Unfortunately, I have to get a family house on wheels. Also known as an Alabama Mansion.

Well baws, I have a greed in principle to purchase my first camper. I got a used Coleman. It's everything we need as a family right now to go camping. They just changed the canvas, bearings in the water tanks, and tires.
Is there anything else I should be asking about?
Besides a bill of sale and the title (they know a notary in town), what else should I be receiving from them?
Sorry, this is my first purchase like this that not from a dealership.
Do you need insurance on a camper like this? I got a quote from progressive, it's cheap, but is it necessary?

My insurance has paid for two brand new awnings that I was dumb enough to allow nature to totally destroy.

So, it sounds like I need insurance.
I getting excited about this purchase. We were set to go family camping this weekend. I rolled out the tent last night with the wife and she said, "find a fricking popup by Saturday morning."
anything in particular that I should look at on the camper?

We just sold ours
Expect things to break constantly, but most parts are cheap and fairly easy to repair.

When it is hooked to your vehicle your auto policy covers it but when you park and disconnect you need a separate policy. I have mine through allstate and is an add on to my auto policy. Costs around $30/month i believe. Covers for liability and damages while parked.

Anybody have any experience with a Coachmen Catalina or a Rockwood? I'm interested to see if anyone has had any bad experiences with these brands/models.
We went looking in Picayune this weekend and found two we like, both around the same price point. Rockwood looked like a little better quality (interior aluminum framing, fiberglass skin, frameless windows) and measures 32' 7" while the Catalina had a few more bells and whistles and was around 36' 9".
I believe the Rockwood and Flagstaff are the same much like Chevy/GMC and I think I read someone here has a Flagstaff. We plan on hitting Hammond over the next few weeks and also making a trip to Robertsdale to look. Any suggestions are welcome.
