Truck gun. Won't be used much, might get stolen. Why not?

The internet is the only place where they seem to jam every shot.

After the paperwork is completed, they place a call, and within 10 mins afterwards you are outta there with your prize!

What's wrong with a .40 cal?

Will a hollow point stop a bad guy?

Or at least frick up his day?

The only experience I have with Sigmas are a jamming rate of about 50%. Buddy has 400-500 rounds through his and it jams every other shot and causes a blister on the trigger finger. Thats my only experience with Sigmas so I don't know of them shooting reliably

Not a damn thing. KR is narrow minded when it comes to calibers

Nothing. I personally prefer 9mm to .40. Cheaper ammo cost, higher capacity magazines, and reduced recoil for follow up shots.

It's all about shot placement. A well placed .22 will kill a man in his tracks.

No doubt

The 40 was brought about because people were pussies. Period.

It'll kill somebody just as dead as a 9mm, or a .45, etc

Went with Smith & Wesson .40 caliber. I'll post a pic when I get home.

How much did you pay and what model? If you got an M&P you did well. If you got the SD40, you did so-so but not nearly as well. I'm sure either one will serve you fine, granted the M&P will be much more enjoyable to shoot.

Never saw, I quit reading gun threads when calibers or non-hunting rifles get brought up

$350 for what looks to be an SD-40. I'm going to shoot it and get familiar with it on Tuesday. Like I said, I'm not very a very sophisticated gun consumer and I'll most likely be happy with what I bought.

It's a truck gun, breh. Just make sure she works.

Aren't you a fellow member of the bar? Lots of the attorneys I know carry, including myself. The reasons are obvious: long hours, traveling, going to different downtowns (which are usually surrounded by bad neighborhoods), and clients have been known to get violent (in fact, we just had to participate in a survey about it).

Just something for you to consider. Good luck, my new colleague.

I get sworn in Thursday. That's kinda what precipitated this purchase. We had to get a client to sign something that day and we couldn't get them on the phone and my boss told me to go to their last known address. I didn't have time to go home and get my pistol and next thing I know, I'm in a dipshit trailer park in Carencro.

That's why I went out and bought a truck gun.

Brother, I've been to towns in MS where the annual income for most families is in the single digits. One afternoon in places like that and you never leave the house without one again.

Congratulations, my friend. Well deserved and hard earned, I'm sure.
