Todd semar is good. Redsfishing should b good, trout it depends on salinity which looks poor so far.

With this rain and the rapid melt, the Bay should be recovering in July.

hit or miss during the summer. Depends on the Atchafalaya river levels. September/October is usually the best time to fish the bay.

You need a fair amount of decent water to push in if you want to catch fish in the bay. Also, there are a thousand boats at every known "hotspot."
Try to fish the rigs about 10 or so miles out. Look for decent water and fish the tides. Good luck.

Head south of marsh island if you wanna find trout. If you get bored, crabbing can be good around the island.

Also, lots of people line up and catch big reds and black drum in the pass. Could be fun if you have a kid with you who wants a good fight
