I think it's more complicated than that. How/where/what position do you intend to carry? This might influence the answer

Wright Leather Works does really nice work and makes holsters for most guns in many different configurations - You pay more for leather, but I think it is well worth it. Don't know what their current lead time is, but it used to a couple of months or so!

I rock a N8 squared original

It's not all leather but I'm a huge fan of my N82 tactical holster for my Kahr CM9. The front is leather and the backing that goes against your skin is suede.

looking for a holster that can go inside waistband or in purse.

Those are two different types of carry though.
IWB carry needs a method of attaching to your belt, which the one I posted previously does that. Purse carry does not and only has one priority - protecting the trigger. It doesn't necessarily need a clip on the side to attach to anything but the IWB holster does.
And just FYI, in every class I teach, I never advocate purse carry and discourage my students from doing so. Yes, it is a large carrying case to fit a larger gun that is easier to shoot but the fact that the gun isn't physically on your body is quite risky. Plus the fact that purse snatchings are so violent, I doubt a situation like that would allow you to defend yourself and the snatcher could easily get your gun.

I have a leather one for my Glock 27 that is for waistband use. GOod leather, small, and could double as something to use in a purse. Looking for something similar and don't feel like wading through 400 search results.

So just completely disregard my message that discourages purse carry and continue on? Got it.

Does that thing get hot? I've been considering a belly band and a smart carry.

Unfortunately I think most women do.....purse carry is just too damn easy I guess.

I have one and haven't noticed it getting hot. Gives you several options to carry and completely conceals my shield at 6 o'clock.
