That particular feature makes me feel like I peed on myself. It is therefore reserved for really hot days at the Kroger.
As far as dirt roads, what the hell? Why not have a nice place to sit while you drive out on the way to kill some nature?

King ranch is mid tier now. A click above basic trim. Limited and platinum are what stands out. Any ol poor scum off the street can buy a one year old king ranch. Do king ranch have retractable running boards standard? NO

You missed the whole point. If you want a very nice truck, you buy a Platinum. I don't have a problem with that. I don't have a problem with people with a lifted truck if you need it. I just judge people that buy a truck that they think that makes them look tough but do not use that truck for what it was designed to do. A Platinum was made to be nice.
