I dont throw cranks often but have collected a wide assortment over the years. Now that my boys are fishing Texas HS series we likely need to pick a few specific cranks to purchase in bulk.

I’ve been throwing KVD and Bandit for years but I’m probably a little outdated

Spro Fat Papa 55. It comes in great proven patterns, comes through structure well, and triggers bites.

KVD 1.5 River Shiner. It use to be a Bass pro exclusive color but you can get it anywhere now.

Bill Lewis ATV is a workhorse and comes through cover the best of any of them

Megabass S-Crank 1.2

It’s a bit pricey and I only have a couple of them. They come through wood fairly well. Better than the KVD’s in my experience.

KVD 1.5 in DB Craw for off color/lt stain water

The real choice is whether to go with a knocker vs the silent model

Probably 85% of my square bills are Bandits. They run true right out of the box.

funny that "bill" is in the name and has always been the shittiest part of the whole lure.

KVD’s aren’t bad, and can be replaced easily if I lose one. I like 6th sense because of all the different color choices. Some of their natural colors are spot on. KVD has very limited color selection, and everybody throws the same ones.

I forgot that I also have had great experiences with Lucky Craft. I found a bulk deal on BBC and have more now than I will ever use.

I've caught some good fish over the years with those...
some 1.5's are handi when the fish are targeting a smaller size...
