I was told when the Atchafalaya at Butte Larose reaches the highth of the locks, that they automatically open and the water rises in Henderson because of back flooding. I just looked at the river stages and it says the Atchafalaya is falling. Does anyone know river level at which Henderson becomes good to fish, or is it like the spillway where it turns on when the river falls?

I'm not being an arse but don't expect to get a bunch of answers here. Nobody minds helping out a fellow outdoorsman but with so many lurkers here nobody is gonna want to give away their secrets for everyone else to take advantage.

Once was a map of publi fishing spots in and around BR that spread like wild fire.

So, do your own homework. Don't be scared to make trips and getting skunked l. Use common sense when planning a trip ( weather, water level, rising or falling) and you'll figure it out
