I had never used this rig before and caught 9 "respectable" bass for Lake Allatoona in just over three hours. I actually hooked three more but lost them at the yak. They're simple to fish and the fish were attacking them on the fall. If you've never used this rigging, I recomend it.

Zoom flukes are probably the only bait I throw weightless. I should probably try it more with different baits.

Nice. Watermelon is a great color. Get some silver/smoke/white colors to expand your arsenal.

I got on a kick a while back where that was all I threw for about 2 years. It's hard to put something down that works, but at times other baits do perform better.

I did catch two others on a popper right before sunrise but after sunrise, the jerkbait was all they wanted. I had read a fishing report that said they were hitting this rig and the guy was right on.

I'll try that too. Weightless just always seemed odd to me. Later in the summer I love a shaky head floating worm

I just started with the zoom fluke a couple months ago. Was killing it in the shallows with them early spring. You definitely have to center the hook or it'll want to swim weird. I also found a small swivel helped it sink easier and prevented line twist

I watched a few videos and practiced rigging them at home to make sure they were straight. Definitely takes a little practice.

Yes. That includes: lizards(yes, lizards) craws(especially on floating mat edges) trick, finesse, Senkos etc.

I have thrown weightless lizards before. In fact it was recent. At Chicot. Caught my only fish of the day on a cotton candy weightless lizard. I probably should've stuck with that

I was throwing an X-Rap most of the day and didn't get a bite.
