Went fishing in the yak and caught only a couple undersized reds. Crabs were hitting the bait so aggressively I filled the ice chest with crabs. Dinner is dinner.

Teal were slow yesterday and today, but put together a solid box of trout in a few hours yesterday after hunting. Ate good and drank too much. Football, no idea what that is...

We caught 30+ bass everyday before noon. Water temps are falling and the bass are biting!

Topped off feeders and chopped food plots. If anyone is wondering how dry it’s is.

Took the yak out and lost what would have been my personal best flounder at the boat

Went fishing with the wife on Saturday. Caught 16 striped bass by 9 am, one nice 26". Then did some catfishing for 2 hours and caught 5 nice ones dragging with planers.

For the stripers, my wife used live shad, I used a topwater pencil popper and a slab spoon. Used cut shad for the cats.

5 of us got about about 15 dove this morning. It was a fun shoot but they weren't too thick. I’m happy that it’s starting to finally cool off.

Limits of snapper and near limits of mangroves for 3 of us Friday, full limits of both with a bonus lemonfish yesterday. Went about 1-9 on lemonfish, suckers kept hitting our light tackle we were using for mangroves. I got my favorite mangrove rig dumped by a UFO yesterday by something that would have outrun my boat, thinking either a really big king or a wahoo. If anyone catches something trailing 250 yards of 50# Powerpro, please let me know.

I smoked the redfish again yesterday. Stuck in the kayak because boats in the shop still but the reds were THICK. Which is such a sight for sore eyes because they haven’t been lately. Was fun catching them on artificial and topwaters. This is in grand isle btw

I didn’t try this weekend but it’s been pretty shitty on the beach
I went out there and didn’t see anyone catching.
The beach has been really weird this year. Maybe one or two weekends people smoked them but that’s about it

Little Hammer and I did respectable on teal. 12 Saturday (his first limit on his own) and 11 Sunday. Did decent on Reds and flounder but didn’t work too hard on them.

Very slow teal weekend. Water lilies are covering up our ponds. Saturday was a hot morning.
