Water Spout - Lake Pontchartrain

Here is a video of a water spout forming, twisting then dissipating over lake Pontchartrain, basically the life-cycle of a water spout. I found it pretty interesting. This happened last week.
It's taken from the re-built New Basin Canal Lighthouse by LPBF personnel in NOLA.

It was a pretty bad arse sight to watch. My wife works in the lighthouse and was sending me pics as it was doing its thing.

We took our cub scout troop from SPX on a field trip to the lighthouse, then went and cleaned up around the point.
