Hows the Clarity over there? About to take our annual fly fishing trip in two weekends. Last year it was extremely milky.

Also, just realized that we will be there for the opener of first split of duck season. How bad will it be? we usually go Halloween weekend every year but stuff got in the way this year so we had to reschedule.

In the past when it was too dirty in Venice we have gone to Hopedale or Delacroix so we are flexible on areas, but hoping to hit Venice if it isn't too bad.

River was higher than giraffe nuts last year. It's going to be a shite show down there for opening weekend of duck season. Especially since there's no water in the fields. I'd sleep in and go later after they clear out or trout fish early.

Most the time we aren't out there too early anyway, waiting for the sun to get high enough to sight fish.

I feel like most of the spots we hit in the past are pretty shitty for ducks. I guess we'll have to see

If the river stays below 5, should be clear enough by then. It has been near 5 for a while, but has bee due yo-yoing due to rains in the midwest. Looks like it may stay down after this little rise passes in the next few days.

Your spots shallow ponds say 2' or less with grass? If so, you'll have them all to yourself.
