I just bought the Howard Leight ear protection/amplification thanks to recommendations from the OB. They work well.

I use ESP ( electronic shooters protection). Pricey but molded just for your ear. So good comfort all day.

I use some msa sordins that I've had forever now. Had some Caldwell electronic muffs that I keep in the bag for others.

There is a pretty significant difference between the two when it comes to being able to hear where the sound comes from.

With the Caldwell muffs it seems all the sound is coming from the front or from one direction.

Both are better than nothing, and amplify sound. I used to wear the caldwells to hear noise and then take them off to see where it was coming from.

I just the msa set on the whole time.

I can third the Howards . I had to return 3 pairs of the walker's game ears for static on one side of the ear muffs
