I have one on my AR and I love it.
It's about as good a value as you can get

Go with the Vortex Sparc. Can get one for $150 2 moa dot for the Sparc vs 4 moa for the strikefire. I had a Sparc that I sold today only due to me realizing I have an astigmatism.
Can get it for $165 here with the New Year's Eve code LINK
I am going with a prism scope with an etched reticle. Vortex Spitfire or Primary Arms 2.5 compact.

Bought this one a few weeks ago from academy. Had 4 and 5 star reviews. sighted it in with about 8 shots. Put a few hundred rounds through to see if anything quit working due to vibration and everything was fine. I'm not an avid shooter so i think it will work just fine for the few times a year i will use it.

Somewhat related, I've got a Spitfire AR that I'm very happy with.
