Video and a pic from Toledo Bend Tuesday and Wednesday

Fished Tuesday and Wednesday at Toledo. Caught 8 keepers Tuesday and 7 Wednesday, and probably 30-40 throwbacks in the two days combined. All but a couple came on squarebill crankbaits, the others came on spinnerbait. Had a good time! Pissed I forgot my GoPro charger the first day so I didn't get video at all, and of course I caught a pretty good one.

That's pretty cool. I had a lab that would jump in the water to catch the fish when I got them next to the boat.. it used to piss me off. I had to fight the fish and the dog

I hunted it Sunday. Saw maybe 30, didn't fire a shot. The weekend before I bet we saw 600.
Having a good freeze and being in the split should reload the lake for the 2nd split opener.

Probably saw 20-30 about half woodies and half mallards. Like Clyde said, saw wayyyyy more last weekend.

Sheds a lot. Like, it's terrible.
ETA I just bought a new truck and I won't let her get in it. She's confined to one room in the front of the house, but her hair gets all the way to the back.
Very smart, not too bad to train.
I don't know if they are all this way, but she is scared of everything and barks a lot.
She is awesome around strangers and other dogs. Great with kids, too. We have a one year old and they play together all the time. She's very gentle with him.

Been killing them shallow for the last month. It seems like that bite is dwindling, though. The quality has been steadily going down. Might have to go deep the next time I go.
