Looking to book a two night trip to Venice later this summer. Any recommendations on where to stay?

6 guys. Looking for something more than a motel room. Maybe a 2-3 bedroom situation.

Is there any good food down there?

Thanks

Rent a houseboat. Marinas have restaurants.

There are a bunch of log cabins right before you get to the Venice marina, have two rooms with bunk beds. Very clean, I just can't think of the name. Think they run about $200 per night.

ETA: Found it

+1. If it's on the main canal, guides will pick you up from your porch

Go to vrbo.com and search for JOAT. I've stayed there a couple times and it can easily sleep 8-10 guys. It's at Venice marina so it's pretty convenient.

Best options for food would be Cypress Cove Marina Grill in Venice and the Black Velvet in Buras. Never had a bad meal at either one.

And the cypress potatoes at cypress cove are a game changer
