Given what you can get into a 2007 lexus LX470 for... Idk why anyone buys any other used suv.

My wife's next one as soon as she graduates. Bulletproof, less tban the price of a new civic, and every single luxury item you can think of.

wish i could lease! I would in a second, but i put too many miles on it each year. I just like to upgrade every 3 years. I normally have 80-90,000 miles on it at the 3 year mark and get a great trade in each time. I traded in my 2011 silverado in july of last year and they gave me $24000 for it

I'm going to make a habit of keeping vehicles for 10 years. My first was a 2000 F250 on 38s had 292k on the ticker when I sold it. Got my current 2010 with no modifications at all, it currently has 75k on it. I don't drive it near as much as the old F250.

Yeah, i tend to drive it until it dies. I dint need all the new bells and whistles. Hell, half the reason i want a new vehicle is for the direct iphone aux. cord.

This. And better much sound quality.

Most of this aftermarket crap can be bought on ebay for 10% of dealership costs. The wife is looking at new cars now with heated seats. Dealership wants $1000, ebay wants $50.

IF you dont mind installing it yourself.

It's nuts.

Those LX470's are an unbelievable value.

A lot of mid range luxury SUV's are like this. A good majority of them are even dealer maintained. Soccer mom's drive them around town for a few years and trade them in and get something new with their divorce money.

The good common rail diesel Merc SUV's can be had for cheap. I use to tow my skiff with an ML320 with the diesel.

3.2 front wheel drive XC90's are probably the most bang for the buck and they are mostly Ford underneath. You can buy parts for it at AutoZone and VIDA can be had on Ebay for almost nothing.

I was looking at used but prices are very high on the used. I def wanted 4x4

Ended up buying new 2014 xlt with 3.73 gear ratio 5.0 4x4 supercrew. 36400 out the door (all taxes fees etc) last month and there were still about 3k incentives I wasn't eligible for (or 2k something like that) including 1500 in trade. I felt like I got a decent deal assuming trucks with 100k miles they are still asking over 20k. And buying last month warranty upped to 100k instead of 60K.

Parts are average cost. I do all work myself. Until I'm making 100 bucks an hour, I will continue to do so.

Those LX470s share enough parts with a tundra that it doesn't matter.

But under 20k for wjat is basically a land cruiser with every option imaginable is hard to beat.

And they don't look bad either

Congrats to the OP on tje new ride!
