Any of you guys or gals own any Uberti revolvers and have some info to share? I have been wanting to buy one for some years now and always end up buying something different and never getting around to it. I think when the day comes I will get the standard 1873 Cattleman in 45 Colt. Any pictures? Thanks as always.

One of my buddies has a uberti SA .45 and I find it to be a very fine pistol, especially at its price point. It shoots great.

I really can't speak for the quality of them, but they are on my wishlist. That and a 73 Winchester replica. The 45 and the 38/357 would both be practical, but my brain is stuck on 38-40 win. I'm not sure if that's even available in the Uberti though.

I have had 2 of them. Fine revolvers, never had an issue with either one but, I liked my Ruger Vaquero more so I sold the Uberti's to fund something else.

Same here. No complaints about the Uberti, I just liked the Ruger more. It's all personal preference. I actually traded the Uberti for the Ruger with a friend. Too bad I lost it in a boating acident

It's all coming back to me now. I balked on the Uberti last time I got the hots for one. Anything over the standard cattleman, and you get into the same budget as the Ruger Vaquero.

Correct. The new model vaqueros are extremely nice and I would not spend vaquero money on a Uberti. The ruger is just a better gun and the new models are dimensionally closer to the SAA than the old ones, which were chunkier.

The uberti does follow SAA lines better than the old model vaquero and the uberti probably still has an old school action with half cock. The vaquero allows you to carry 6, while the uberti should be carried hammer down on an empty chamber. It's less practical than the ruger, but it is pretty damn cool.
