Sat in a spot I've been getting bucks on camera in the morning and had a nice 8 come out to 35 yards... Well.. I put a bad shot high on him. Thought he was 40 out. He ducked the shot and I hit him in no mans land, had blood for 400 yards then lost it in the creek. So shitty start to the season right there...

Next afternoon I go to a spot 3/4 mile on the other side of the property with my brother. We set up on two different trails about 60 yards from each other. Right at dark I hear a shwack about 30 yards behind me. He calls and said he shot a big boy...

Well i'll be damned if it wasn't the same exact buck I shot the day before. He was up walking eating fkn acorns. You can see in the pics the exit from my brothers shot is low and right above his knee is my entrance from my shot.. You can see the through and through from the picture of the back.. Could not believe it.

After that I was on a meat mission so I went out the next morning and shot this slick head at 15 yards around 8:10 am

Same weekend two other members at our place scored with some real nice ones

Hope you all get to see this in the next couple days!

That buck has the longest nose I've ever seen on a deer.

Congrats on a great start to the season

That's badass your brother putting a deer down that you had already shot the day before. What are the odds of that ever happening? That's awesome. Im so ready to arrow a deer. Hopefully this weekend

Man I really wish I had a buck on camera worth hunting this year. I'm gonna miss chasing a mature buck.

I'm planting food plots Monday and plan on not baiting at all the rest of the season. Maybe that will help get rid of some of the hogs and a big guy from the neighboring land will come to my place.

Great pics, story, and deer. Congrats to all and happy hunting
