2022 Pacific has more bells and whistles than I can understand. Tire pressure monitoring, braking monitoring , doors op, hands on wheel, lane departure, passing, crowding and on and on. They are so sure of the tires, there is no spare.

BUT, it's impossible to do a physical inspection of the wear without putting it on a rack. I just happened to note when the wheel was turned hard left, I could see a silver dollar sized piece of rubber missing in the middle of the tire with cord showing. Original tires with 15000 miles and both front tires were shedding rubber. My issue is not crappy OEM tires, but how do you monitor condition with the very close fender clearances. Lots of cars do this for gas efficiency. Should there be a requirement to do a physical tire inspection at every oil change. Maybe the annual DOT inspection needs a deliberate tire defect analysis.

No way I'd drive without a spare.

They better insure that a tire replacement guy can get to within 30 minutes regardless of location. That's bullshite!

You don't have enough requirements in your life?

No but you should rotate your tires every oil change to get the maximum life out of them. Then the shop would in theory let you know of any issues with the tires
