I hunt primarily on the move. Right now I use a lone wolf climber. This Guido stand intrigues me. ANyone use one and care to offer an opinion?

I have a hard enough time just getting the straps straightened out on my safety harness, don't think I have the extra patience to deal with that thing. Also, look like you are pretty limited on your shooting positions.

I have talked to one other individual that had one. He said that he loved it. Took some getting used to but once he did, he would never use his climber again. Just looking into it.

I can't even imagine how fast my legs would fall asleep in that thing.

I thought the very same thing. The one user I talked to said it was not an issue.

Did this guy's last name happen to be Guido?

I had the tree saddle which was essentially the same thing. For a safety harness, it is fantastic.

For a hunting stand, I found it uncomfortable and I was unable to stay still. You are facing the tree so even with your body leaning out away from the tree (which exposes you more than a lock on where you are against the trunk), you are putting considerable weight on your feet. If you use small screw in steps, or the single step cam buckle steps, your feet will ache very quickly. When you "sit" in the stand you will need to brace yourself and that means your knees are on the tree. For bow hunting it does give you the option of hunting 360 degrees around your tree if you are able to make the transitions from one position to the other without being seen. However, maneuvering the bow is difficult due to the tree trunk being right in front of you.

Not sure how good it is for bow hunting, but I am sure that those Left Coast Tree Huggers would love to have them for their protests.

There is no way I could get a mid-morning nap in that thing.

It was the first "stand" I bought thinking it would be the last. I bought different stand within 2 weeks.
