Last time I looked at jeeps they were ridiculously expensive, even high mileage. Isn't this a steal if it runs?

My neighbor had a 94 jeep. He sold it for 500$ a couple years ago because he was tired of it not being driven. Thing was in mint condition. Im not sure but the early 90s jeep not that hot of an item

Couple questions:
Mileage?
Auto/std?
Engine? (Not sure if that model had engine options)

The headlights look funny

For that amount of money its probably high mileage, 4 cylinder engine and a standard transmission. If you don't mind those, then sure its a good deal.

If it has the I6, and is truly running well, it is a good deal. Yeh, those square headlights get comments but there is a market out there specifically for those.
I would say that unless it has serious engine AND transmission/drive train issues, at that price it is a deal.

To me depends on where you are I guess. Here in east Florida goo luck finding a Jeep that is even remotely close to being complete, cranking, running and decent to look at for anything close to this price regardless of age.

Yes it is and you could spend a little bit more and make it a really nice Jeep for that money.

The yj is historically the worst generation of wranglers. And it's not just because of their square headlights.

YJ, probably a 4 banger. Not worth owning IMO

if you decide not to buy it would you post a link to the ad?
I'd like to go look at it if you pass

Any of you Jeep guys put LS motors in your jeep? Went to a guys shop the other day and he was doing this in a newer model jeep. When I asked him about it he said he had done 17 of them. Never realized Vortec motors were that popular in Jeeps.

Know a guy who just put one in an MJ and another guy about to swap into a JK

Ls motors are popular to swap into everything

Yea, we took about a 50hp Wisconsin engine out of a Ditch Witch and put a 4.3 liter Vortec in it. Talk about a digging machine.

I bought my YJ with an LT1 in it. It's got the AX15 transmission in it with a special bell housing. Gotta be careful on it. Broke a drive shaft awhile back because of the torque. It beat my dual exhaust into oblivion.

Lot of people don't like the square lights. Not the classic Jeep look.
