Thinking of getting a Scar 17s opinions from the OB

I have always liked the platform. I have a PredatOBR 7.62 on order so have the AR10 platform covered. If Hillary gets elected these things could get space and really expensive. Guys that own or have owned what are your opinions?

If I were to buy one, I would put the KDG stock and stock hinge on it and a Handl defense metal lower. I would also suggest you form 1 it and go 13 inches so you have a .308 SBR and you also have the OBR for more precision work. SCAR 17 SBR looks fricken awesome if you haven't seen it.
Forgot to add Geissele Trigger. Also, the Handl receiver lets you run SR25 pattern mags.

Just buying all the gums I want.
SCAR is a lightweight battle rifle. Ambi features and exceptional accuracy for a lightweight barrel and package.
They are pretty much unobtainium at the moment and are already hitting some insane prices.
1 month ago you could get a used one for like 2600, now you can barely find a used one for less than 3000.
There are a couple companies making caliber conversions. A 6.5 SCAR would be awesome.
The predatobr is what it is and if larue ever releases the 260 barrels he's been teasing it'll be a great multicaliber rifle.

There is one on LA sportsman right now for $3100 with 12 mags and 300rds of brass ammo in black for $3100.

Well that's not a bad price considering. I've all but ruled them out if I ever sell my bolt gun.

They do look badass with the 13" barrel but the damn barrel and gas system cost 1k. I guess it's only money right. I have read where some guys have cut the barrel but they have reliability issues.
