Thermocells, can deer smell em??

I know it gets old hearing this, but you hunt the wind. If the wind blows thermocell scent to the deer, it's blowing your scent as well so it doesn't matter. I'll never get in an early season stand without my thermocell. It makes all the difference when it comes to mosquitoes

I can smell thermacells, so I assume deer do as well

Deer do smell them, but are not repelled by the smell. As long as its not offensive, threatening, or even worse; human, they don't care.I've had huge bucks literally walk under me, with my thermacell on, bowhunting in early season....

Then it's not even a question man, get it and buy extra pads and cartridges. It's most definitely worth it. It's the 3rd most vital item for bow hunting behind only bows and arrows lol

surely they can smell them, but I have never seen a deer spooked by one. as the others say, the benefits absolutely outweigh the negatives.

Same here. I've had them right under me with it running, and it's never seemed to bother them. I've already had west Nile once, and it sucks. There's no way I'm hunting in bow season without something for mosquitoes, and the thermacell smell is much better than deet spray.
