That was the thing about him. Down to earth and would shoot the shite with you about pretty much anything.
Never got a chance to take a trip to the island with him but fished out of his lodge many times. Still can’t believe it.

tough to say
it always seems that some of those owner/operators are doing pretty well, but I gotta believe overhead and upkeep on the lodge, planes, equip, etc while paying guides and O&M was pretty high.
From what Ive seen on here, he had a rough go to start with early on.

Who knows.
I do know he put a lot of money into his business. It was truly his passion.
