Friend recently traded his built 900 for a new 1100. he has a small fortune in the 900 with custom roll cage etc..., the new one is going to be even more

Personally I still don't quite get the hype of the 1000. They MSRP for $20k, you can get a Maverick or even a XP900 for ~$14k. The performance advantage is not great enough to justify the extra $6k. Not that I could afford either machine anyway.
