I looked for 6 months, and bought my house two days after it went on the market. Had three other people come through, and two of them put offers in. Moral of the story is.....dont buy something you don't want, and don't buy something that's hard to sell.

Buy land, put up a metal building with a living area assuming you have nobody telling you they want a white picket fence and a tire swing. Gives you a large shop, and future man cave. Then you can build her dream house in front of it after.

Oh and pizza.

That's what I'm doing. Bought 65 acres in MS and they just finished the metal building. Moving up there next week when my son finishes 5th grade. Gonna take a couple years off and build the house myself. Worked my last day at work today.

I'm getting drunk tonight.

I'm going to just buy a house where the work is and invest in property elsewhere.

Nowhere right now. I wouldn't mind a small place to build a house in AP but I'm going to wait until I get a house to start looking for cow land.

I figure I need to get as much of that shite as I can before I frick up and get married or something.

I looked at a few places out that way. I work in NOLA right now so the drive wouldn't be any worse than it is already.

I think pike/amite county would be my first choice.

No more haji hunting?

Chargrilled oysters, gumbo, grilled shrimp and baked tater with BL to drink at Roux 61.

I lived in Amite and Lincoln county the last 10 years. My parents live north of Liberty. Great hunting and land up there. If you are ever looking for land let me know. I know of some nice places of all sizes.

And on the sandbox hunting, I gave it up due to a bad injury the last stint I made over there and the wife's threats if I ever went back

We used to hunt outside of liberty. There's some fine arse dirt up there.

I'll hopefully be looking to buy a year from now.
