Taking the yak out to Holly Beach on Sunday: Any Tips?

I'm more of a fresh water fisherman but one of my friends wants to go out in the surf with the kayaks on Sunday if the weather permits. Any tips would be appreciated.

Go to Sabine Lake instead. I'm serious.
Eta: For safety reasons, and I have it on good word they've been catching trout over there.
