You think all those boats came from Grand Isle? I guess it does just add to the crowds in that direction. Thankfully it should be pretty desolate on the weekdays.

I probably will be too. I won't be able to fish until after the 4th of July, no boat down there right now.

Well, considering snapper will be out of season, I will certainly avoid that weekend.

For starters swollfest isn't that big and it's going to be slick out there. Daddy going to let the big black bitches eat.

Btw jab, 2 reds, 10 mangroves a day

No doubt. I need to get back into targeting them more. We used to take a 22 foot Promaster out and slaughter them. They were usually bigger than the reds we're catching now, too.

I thought you could only keep 8 mangroves if you have 2 reds. Pretty sure the 10 is an aggregate...

ETA: Looking at it, I think you're right. The 10 aggregate doesn't include red, lane or vermilion.

Yep. We didn't have one under 18" this weekend. We were on the red snapper early and then the damn sharks showed up at all our red snapper rigs.

The last time the sharks showed up like that for us, there were some solid lemons hanging out in the school. Like trying to spot blackfin mixed in bonita, but it was fun as hell.

How deep were you catching the mangroves? Chocolate milk or green? We only caught 3, but only had a handful of croakers and I was the only person really free-lining at all, but I was also constantly taking care of other things.

I can see where somebody could get confused. Hell I may be wrong, but that's the limits I follow.

34, Faux Pas guy got asked to leave GITR because he partied too hard for the Tarpon.

Green water. Cut pogy. We were in 55-70 ft of water.

The bluefish were out too.

I did hook a ginormous lemon but I cut me off as we were gettin ready to gaff it.
