have a friend who has a like new zero turn that blew the engine. He made me a decent deal on it. I have a beat up husqvarna lawn tractor with a strong engine in it.

Is it possible to swap out engines? What would I need to look for?

Horizontal vs vertical shaft, engine mounting holes, etc.

Main drive shaft needs to be the same diameter in order to fit the pulleys on the Zturn. Have to make sure the throttle and choke cable ends are compatible and with the corresponding control levers and that they're long enough to reach of the engines have a different clock position. Mounting holes, as was mentioned above.

Ive done it twice. Save the wiring harnesses and try to trace old connections before you change. May need to modify the exhaust. Im on my 2nd replacement engine.
