I have one that my dad gave me from the early eighties. I just saw where SW is making them again and holy shite at the price!

Apparently so! I guess mine is fairly valuable. I honestly had no idea. I would never buy a .22lr for 1300 bucks.

People have been conditioned to think .22 = cheap.

Not always. Quality costs. Some folks appreciate craftsmanship and are willing to pay.

I don't know what this pistol cost when my dad bought it new in the early eighties but even with inflation I know it wouldn't have been that much. My dad is cheap when it comes to stuff like this.

It is important to remember though how few pistols are made out of blued steel and wood these days. The costs to build such a gun have outpaced inflation most of the time (mostly labor costs).

Besides, the 41 has always been a little pricey.

I guess so. I always just thought it was just a nice semi-auto rimfire pistol. I had no idea they are such highly sought and pricey. My dad probably wouldn't have given it to me if he knew what it was worth.
