Several previous threads, but here's a summary:

pompano rigs, shrimp and if you can find them, sand fleas.

Bait store staff will be glad to give you good advice.

A couple years ago in early September I caught a bunch of blues and skip jack on a straw and bubble rig. My young son had a blast reeling them in. Go right at daylight. Look for seagulls flying over them or ripples from them feeding on baitfish.

Wade fish Little Lagoon. White swimming mullet Gulp for flounder and green hornet Matrix for redfish and specks.

Fish the drop offs. There is a good drop off just north of the Compass Point condo pool.

The juvenile pompano are thick out there right now in the morning and later afternoon. It won't be till it starts to cool down in October before you start to see the keeper size pompanos again. If you used pompano rigs, dead shrimp is my favorite bait. Peel the skin off them before you bait the circle hooks. Its easier for them to suck them down. Also there is a bait I bought that looks like bubble gum tape. Forgot the name, but it is scented and almost caught as many as the dead shrimp. Did't try any sand fleas, but they do work as well. My nephew through sabikis along the beach and had a blast catching juvenile jacks and small pompano.
