I'll take a short fat barrel (21" .825" OD) over a long skinny barrel (26" .600") all day long
it's all about barrel harmonics , long skinny barrels tend to whip during the bullet exiting the bore

Well to be fair, you can drastically alter harmonics by adding or subtracting small amounts of mass. The fact that the mass happens to be a suppressor is probably irrelevant.

You sound like a cop just imagine a gun with an oil filter screwed into the end of it. Used ones provide a little smoke after the shot kinda obscures your target.
