I fried chicken in my new fryer and made mashed potatoes and peas. I had to cut back on the whiskey so I’m having a coke.

No pics as there isn’t any. Kids wiped me out quickly.

I grow a garden and right now my okra is going insane.

I gave some to a neighbor lady originally from Texas and she was telling me how she likes to cook it in crowder peas, so I got her recipe.

Damn fine, down home eating is what it is.

Cook down the crowder peas with some onion, garlic, bell pepper, celery, chunks of seasoning ham until tender and then just toss in whole small pods of okra in the pot and let them cook until tender. Nice combination and will do it again for sure.

Parmesan-panko crusted red snapper and eggplant with a crawfish buttercream sauce.

Didn’t catch many keepers, but damn that was a good meal.
