stick ladder straps

I know its been said before but check/change those cheap motorcycle straps that come with them. We had a member fall this morning climbing from ladder to the lockon when the strap broke. Luckily just a sore wrist!

I check mine often. What are recommended straps as replacements?

i ALWAYS use rachet straps and a small chain. My good friend fell last year 20 foot up when top strap broke and he fell on his leg (thank goodness)... but 10 months and multiple surgeries later... he lost his leg from the knee down.

I use good quality ratchet straps and take them down after the season to keep them out of the weather as much as possible. I left a crappy strap on my ladder stand just to keep it up. When I make it back out there it will be replaced
