Staining and sealing new deck

I just had a new deck installed and want to stain and seal it. For pressure treated wood, how long should I wait before applying the stain? Any recommendations on the best product to use?

I think it needs a couple of months to dry out before staining. I have really liked the TWP stains, and they have been highly regarded on threads in the past. Use a foam 6" finger roller with a pole attached to stain. You can apply it very quickly...

Not sure of the dry out time, but I used the Thompson water seal with the stain already in it, easy to apply and looks pretty good to me.

You do need to let it dry out for a while. I think we let ours dry for close to 6-8 months. Stained it with WoodRx. Good stuff. Pier is now two years old and looks brand new.
From my interwebs research the thompsons was not well regarded. There is a huge thread on the Hull Truth about deck sealing.
