Anyways, I did go to the range and it is a really sweet pistol. I am thinking of buying the .45 on the 1911 frame by Springfield Armories. I put two boxes of ammo thru it and was dead on at 20yds. I am still partial to my Browning 9mm because I have had it so long.
I did see a guy with a Remington 7mag that kept firing every time he pushed his bolt forward. It scared him and he almost dropped his rifle. He did it a second time and took it to the gunsmith on site.

It sounds like he tried to adjust the trigger pull and didn't get it quite right. That or the screw could have backed out from not using lock-tight.

As to the OP , aside from this incident, you must be a very proud pop having a son in such a elite part of our military. Congrats to him and may he lay into like there's no tomorrow.

Usually there. We have a clay pit in Magnolia Springs where we can go also. I own five acres past Styx River Range at the very end of the road before the ATV park where I can shoot but there is a lot of tubers on the river in the summer so it really isnt safe most days there.
