Anyone have any recommendations for hard cases to put guns in to fly with? My over/under came with a hard case that I could check, but its a 20 gauge and I would like to bring my duck guns as well.

I'm flying United next week and they only allow one gun per case. check your airline as YMMV.

I looked into checking a gun last year with Delta and it was also one gun per case. Make sure the case has pre-drilled holes for two pad/combo locks or they may not let it fly.

I went cheap the first couple of times i flew my guns.

I now own a Pelican and i haven't had an issue since.

I have the 1720 model with wheels and it will hold 2 shotguns no problem.

I feel like, judging by the price of small pelican cases, one that size would cost as much as the damn gun.

EXCELLENT point. In addition to the TSA rules, each of the airlines have their own specific rules, as well. Memorize the regs for the airline(s) you'll be flying, as well as the TSA rules.

The one thing you DON'T want when flying is a cheap, flimsy gun case. Don't risk your gun or your hunt on an inadequate gun case. I also bought my Pelican 1720 off Amazon. I've been very pleased w/ both the price and quality. It's very sturdy and is a very good value.
