Can you ever catch specs in Lake Maurepas?

ive caught them at pass manchac when they were running, nowhere else really

You can every now and then. Usually when it floods and gets more saltwater than usual

A couple of years ago a few were caught at Blind River Bar due to saltwater intrusion from the drought. It is not very common. When Katrina came through our neighborhood dock was covered with 1/2 dollar size flounder.
