What size line and jig head do y'all recommend for fishing specks? What works best?

1/8th oz to 1 oz but that really depends on where you are fishing and what conditions you are in.

I like to use the lightest i can possibly get away with.

Assuming moderate current and light to no wind:

<4' = 1/8

4-8' = 1/4

9+' = 3/8

only using more than a 3/8's if you are having trouble hitting the bottom. Deep water, heavy current, high winds...work your way up to a 1/2 to 1 oz.

Generally most people seem to like 3/8's as generic standard.

If you list where you are planning to fish it may help people list sizes that are relevant to that condition. For instance saying i am heading into the marsh vs the Causeway will make a big difference.

I like 12# Big Game (Berkeley)Green.
Normally I throw a 1/4 oz, but if there's no wind a 1/8 oz.
