How often should the spark plugs be changed in a 70hp 4 stroke Yamaha?

Every 100 hours is a safe bet.

I've never changed the plugs in my 2009 DF175
they are clean as a whistle
check them when you change the oil

Pull the plugs and inspect them. If they look like they need to be changed, change them. They will likely be perfectly fine out to a couple hundred hours.
