He was great. But Fish Fishburne was the greatest host ever.

I stand by that entertainment wise. Jose was very good at technical saltwater show hosting, but overall best fishing host has to be measured by a lot of factors IMO.

In other words, if you watch fishing shows, you know how to fish already. I like entertainment over instructional value...

I go for the scenery. You can learn how to fish any environment rather easily.

Jose and Flip Pallet(Walkers Cay Chronical/yeti cooler guy) both always fished in beautiful water.

They made it look like some type of dream. You drolled to fish the flats they fished.

I remember when they did the promo for the new 350s Verados. Did that 500-600mile trip to Mexico from the keys I think. All in an open CC. Seemed like an awesome adventure.

For he most part. I know how to fish, but I learned things from Jose. Fish, not so much. And entertainment value was equal to me.

Damn, I just saw this. I stayed in Everglades City on the drive down to Key West the last time. Beautiful place. We fished out of Jose's home marina, as well. Got a picture with the Spanish Fly. He was always my favorite fishing personality.
