For people with water, it will be awesome. The few fields that have water up here are loaded. We started pumping today.

NE Arky. Lots of ducks and specks on fields that are flooded. Good reports on DU app from this weekend. We don't open till the 19th

Haven't heard much. Went ride around one of the WMAs over here. Looking for some wood duck holes, since I'm not very optimistic about the big ducks making it down. No water in the sloughs, and low in the bayous. Not good. Appears to be the same everywhere.

Gonna be tough. Need a good rain. Hell, a few good rains.

Next year you'll look back on this year and wish it was that good again.

Why's that?

Youth hunt reports I got are as follows:

1) Dougs hunting lodge (marsh blind Saturday only): plenty birds but youth hunter couldn't connect, first pair into the dekes was mallards. Heard of some good speck hunts

2) Delacroix - train load of BW teal, youth hunters had plenty of chances and those that could shoot brought home a few

3) Venice - third hand report but saw the pictures, grays and pins on the strap.

Opening day won't be if you have water. After that who knows.

If Texas is any indication of what might happen in LA, the marsh and any water close to it is loaded up right now.

Yeah the few places I know of that have water are loaded, well I have seen videos, as far as with my own two eyes, no. The guy doesn't have any reason to lie to me though.

I used to hunt DD quite a bit, and we've leased around Knobel in the past. Our fields are in the Egypt area now. Where are you guys?
