So, I haven't ran my boat motor in about 2 years...

I have a mid 80's Tohatsu 115 2-stroke. It ran well before I stopped using it. What's my next step if I want to get it running? Should I just bite the bullet and take it to a mechanic or is there something I can do? I am generally pretty handy but not sure I want to tackle taking the carbs apart and cleaning them.
Advice appreciated.

Drain all gas, change spark plugs, fuel filters. Fill up with premium fuel, fog carbs with sea foam then hope for the best. If you get her started mix a can of sea foam in tank to help clean out internals. Good luck!
If this doesn't work and your not comfortable breaking down carbs then it's a trip to mechanic shop

I just did the same on my Yamaha 2-stroke after about three years of not running. I broke down my carbs and soaked them. Was not that bad and I am not handy at all.
Also, if you decide to break it down, take cell phone pics of everything and label stuff. Makes it much easier to reinstall everything.

Thanks y'all. I'll try the Seafoam route and if that works, maybe I'll break down the carbs. I bet I wouldn't be the first to walk into a shop with a carb in pieces.
